Troop 276,  Champlain MN

June 18, 2022 found us on the BSA Burglar dive boat at a dive spot named Long Key Ledge for our first dive of the day, it was OK. Next on the Saturday itinerary was an artificial reef we call Pillars, which was better, for color and structure. Then it was on to Tennessee Reef next to the old lighthouse where we snorkeled and had lunch, and a fun swim.

Earlier in the week:

Yesterday (Friday June 17), we went to Alligator Reef for high-adventure and found ourselves in a quick forming lightning storm as we approached our destination. We got to the mooring balls in the rain and the storm quickly passed. The sun came out just as the dive began and when the dive was over the divers came out of the water to find clear blue skies.

The previous day was (Thursday) the first dive for this group after training in the pool and classroom. It took place at a dive location called Landing Strip – it was a nice dive. The weather has been super this week very little wind. The wind has varied from 5-10 knots and even light and variable such as Saturday when the ocean was like a lake!

The whole gang did a great job, it was wonderful for me to see them progress and become great divers.
